Loren Chantland is based in the rolling hills and open sky of central Iowa. For 30 years he lived and worked as an artist in the Minneapolis art community. Loren and his wife recently moved to the Iowa family farm where his inspiration for cloud painting began. He works primarily in oils. Although known for his expansive cloud paintings, his subject matter is wide, including portrait commissions, master copies and landscapes.
