Bull and Briar Leather was born from a passion that began when the owner, Bryan Wynn, started to work with his grandfather in his upholstery shop when he was very young. While helping his grandfather, Bryan enjoyed learning to sew on his grandfather’s 1943 Singer Sewing Machine. During that time, he also developed a passion for hunting and wildlife. Out of this combination grew the business now known as Bull and Briar Leather.
In recent years, Bryan went back and found the old Singer sewing machine he had once used with his grandfather and started teaching himself how to sew again. What started out as an idea to make a friend a rattlesnake belt has now grown into popular business that sells individual items as well as wholesale products.
I met Bryan at the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival where we both were exhibiting. I loved his products and instantly liked him when I first met him there. Since then I have discovered we have a few things in common – one of them being that we both once worked at Yellowstone Park. But of course, the main thing we have in common is our passion for quality art, and that’s what you see in his Bull and Briar products.
